Market segmentation has been my favourite but there is another school which shouts that it’s all emotional and we’re all after all, "People".
Another Seth Godin Classic, breaks them into, Kinds of people:
- Some people want to do things because they are interesting.
Some people want to do things because they work.
Some people want to do things because everyone else is doing them.
- And some people are satisfied/scared/shy/lazy and don’t do anything.
I did like this pointer Seth marked out though –
"That salesperson who does everything by the book is not interested in the thrill of discovery"
